Controller, Accounting, Financial Compliance

Sierra Staffing Group is seeking an experienced Controller to join one of our most respected clients in the Reno, NV area. This is an exciting opportunity for a strategic finance leader to play a critical role in shaping the financial infrastructure, processes, and controls of a high-growth company. The successful candidate will partner closely with executive leadership while overseeing all accounting, financial reporting, compliance, internal controls, and finance operations.

• Lead all accounting and financial reporting functions, ensuring timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Oversee SEC reporting requirements and support all regulatory compliance initiatives.
• Develop, implement, and maintain strong internal controls and SOX compliance programs.
• Manage the month-end and year-end close processes while driving continuous process improvements.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, cash management, and financial planning activities.
• Oversee external audits, tax compliance, and relationships with auditors, banking partners, and external advisors.
• Evaluate, implement, and optimize ERP systems and financial processes to support business growth.
• Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing accounting and finance team.
• Partner with executive leadership to provide financial insights and support strategic decision-making.

• Active CPA license required.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 15+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience.
• Experience working within publicly traded company environments.
• Strong SEC reporting and regulatory compliance experience.
• Proven experience implementing and maintaining SOX compliance and internal controls.
• Hands-on ERP implementation experience required.
• Demonstrated success leading accounting teams and improving financial processes.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
