AP/AR Specialist

Robert Half Contract Finance and Accounting is looking for an AP/AR Specialist to support daily financial operations for a growing construction business in Reno, Nevada. This contract opportunity with potential for a permanent position is ideal for someone who enjoys a hands-on role, can manage competing priorities independently, and works well within a close-knit team. The position centers on payables while also contributing to receivables, billing support, and general accounting activities across multiple entities.

Responsibilities:

• Manage a high volume of vendor invoices, ensuring timely entry, review, and payment processing.
• Oversee intercompany receivable activity and help maintain accurate balances between related entities.
• Classify and code expenses correctly, separating operating expenditures from project-related costs.
• Maintain organized accounting records and ensure financial documentation is scanned and filed electronically.
• Use Quick Books Online and Quick Books Desktop to complete day-to-day accounting tasks and keep records current.
• Assist with billing, account reconciliation, and other routine accounting support functions as needed.
• Contribute to office operations by handling administrative support tasks, including occasional coordination of outgoing mail shipments.
• Work across a multi-entity environment to help keep financial information accurate, complete, and up to date.
