Position Summary
The Controller is responsible for overseeing the day‑to‑day financial operations of Northern Nevada HOPES and its subsidiaries NNH QALICB and NNH Support, and for ensuring the timeliness and accuracy of the financial records and reports. This role is supervisory and leads a team of accountants.

You will have a high level of integrity and attention to detail and accuracy. You will be competent in collaboration with all levels of staff members, be able to be a communication expert and influential. Finally, you will be able to effectively guide and develop staff.

- Bachelor degree in accounting, or equivalent combination of education and grant management and fund accounting experience required.
- Demonstrated experience leading organizational accounting functions
Proven ability to oversee general ledger, month‑end close, budgeting, audit coordination, and financial reporting in a complex, multi‑fund environment. - Deep understanding of nonprofit and healthcare finance
Experience with fund accounting, restricted funding, grants management, and compliance requirements common to federally qualified health centers or similar mission‑driven organizations. - Strong financial leadership and collaboration skills
Ability to partner with executive leadership, program leaders, and external stakeholders to translate financial data into clear, actionable insights that support decision‑making. - Experience strengthening systems, controls, and processes
Track record of improving internal controls, financial systems, and workflows to increase accuracy, transparency, and efficiency across the organization. - People‑centered management approach
Experience mentoring and developing accounting staff, fostering accountability, continuous learning, and alignment with organizational values. - Computer literacy required.
- Prior supervision experience preferred.
- Current CPA license or Masters in Accounting or Business preferred.

Salary Range $98,000 - $120,000 per annum
