We are looking for an experienced Sr. Accountant to support core accounting operations for a Contract position based in Reno, Nevada. This role is ideal for an organized individual who can manage day-to-day financial activities, maintain accurate records, and contribute to a smooth month-end close process. The successful candidate will bring strong knowledge of general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and payroll-related support within a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily accounting activities to ensure financial records are complete, accurate, and up to date.
• Prepare and post journal entries while maintaining the integrity of the general ledger.
• Lead month-end closing tasks, including reviewing balances and resolving discrepancies on schedule.
• Perform account reconciliations and investigate variances to support accurate financial reporting.
• Complete bank reconciliations and ensure cash activity is properly recorded and matched.
• Assist with payroll processing support and verify related accounting entries for accuracy.
• Maintain organized financial documentation and support internal reporting needs.
• Collaborate with accounting leadership to improve efficiency across routine accounting processes.
