Tax Manager

Location: Reno, NV

Work Arrangement: Hybrid

• Prepares, reviews, and signs individual, business, and other types of tax returns for clients in various types of entities and industries.
• Works with the tax team to ensure the components of the tax process are performed, including tax planning, client interaction, and performing special tax projects.
• Analyzes tax situations to maximize tax benefits.
• Develops solutions and communicates them to the engagement team and client.
• Manages client relationships by monitoring needs and adding value to professional service.
• Participates in business development activities.
• May assist with client billing to reflect work performed.
• Supervises and delegates duties to Associate and Senior Associate level staff.
• Provides mentoring and technical training for employees in the tax department.
• Attends training seminars, professional development, and networking events.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• CPA license or Enrolled Agent (EA) certification.
• 5-7 years of tax experience within public accounting.
• Extensive knowledge of tax accounting principles and IRS regulations.
• Actively stays up-to-date on changing tax industry regulations and policies.
• Self-starter who enjoys working independently and in a team environment.
• Able to focus on complex tasks and quickly understand the firm's comprehensive compliance processes.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States now or in the future without visa sponsorship.
