Staff Accountant

Description Katie Weigel with Robert Half Finance and Accounting is recruiting to fill a direct hire Staff Accountant for a growing real estate company in Reno. The person in this role would be working for the residential property management division. Day to day responsibilities include month-end close, tenant billings, reconciliations, owner reporting, budgeting, CAM reconciliations, fixed assets, trust accounting, and compliance with GAAP, lease agreements, and company policies.

The tools used primarily are App Folio, and the MS Office Suite.

This is a good role with a nice variety of responsibility in a stable company that is experiencing growth. They need a committed person, willing to work five days per week in the office (with flexibility). They enjoy a good work life balance and a great office culture. The ideal candidate will have at least 2-3 years of experience doing property management accounting and good exposure to business technology.

- Working knowledge of journal entries, general ledger maintenance, and account reconciliation processes.

- Experience preparing bank reconciliations and investigating variances with accuracy and timeliness.

- Familiarity with tenant billing, owner reporting, budgeting, or other operational accounting activities within a property management setting.

- Proficiency with business systems and spreadsheet-based analysis; experience with App Folio is strongly preferred.

- Ability to work on-site five days per week with professionalism, consistency, and strong organizational skills.
