Accounting Clerk

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to support day-to-day financial operations for a semiconductor and electric components manufacturing environment in Reno, Nevada. This is a Contract position suited for someone who is comfortable handling both payables and receivables while maintaining accurate records across high-volume transactions. The ideal candidate brings strong organizational skills, confidence with accounting software, and a steady approach to invoice and data management.

Responsibilities:

- Process vendor invoices, verify supporting documentation, and prepare payments in a timely and accurate manner.

- Maintain accounts receivable records by recording incoming payments, monitoring outstanding balances, and following up on open items as needed.

- Enter financial data into accounting systems with a high level of accuracy to support reliable reporting and recordkeeping.

- Use Quick Books and related tools to update transaction details, reconcile entries, and keep account information current.

- Review invoices for completeness, coding accuracy, and approval status before submission for payment or posting.

- Assist with routine account reconciliations and help resolve discrepancies involving billing, payments, or account balances.

- Organize accounting records and supporting documents so they are easy to retrieve for audits, reviews, and internal reporting.

- Support additional clerical accounting tasks as needed, including invoice processing activities tied to operational workflow updates. Requirements - Experience supporting accounts payable and accounts receivable functions in a business setting.

- Working knowledge of Quick Books and comfort navigating accounting or financial record systems.

- Strong data entry skills with close attention to accuracy, consistency, and detail.

- Ability to process invoices efficiently while managing deadlines and shifting priorities.

- Basic understanding of accounting procedures, recordkeeping, and transaction documentation.

- Clear written and verbal communication skills for coordinating with vendors, customers, and internal teams.

- Proficiency with standard office software and spreadsheets used for financial tracking and reporting.
