Administrative Assistant 3 – School of Public Health
Job : R0152002. University of Nevada, Reno – Main Campus.
Job DescriptionThis role provides fiscal support by monitoring expenses, preparing annual budget requests, generating financial reports, coordinating travel arrangements, processing p-card transactions, and maintaining familiarity with university financial processes and systems.
Administrative duties include coordinating personnel searches, initiating Workday transactions, overseeing completion of new-hires, preparing payroll documents, managing department operations, providing student assistance as first point of contact, coordinating the Department Director’s calendar, explaining university policies, assisting with college events, coordinating class schedules with the department chair and faculty, and other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications- Graduation from high school or equivalent and three years of progressively responsible relevant work experience, including maintenance of complex records and files, public/customer relations with detailed policy explanations, preparation and processing of financial and statistical documents (payroll, travel, claims, budgeting), and assistance with staff and management projects.
- One year of experience as an Administrative Assistant II in Nevada state service.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.
Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm (subject to change).
Compensation GradeGrade 27. Salary is determined by Nevada Administrative Code, with placement above Step 01 based on recruitment, qualifications, internal equity, and budget.
