Registration Coordinator
The Registration Coordinator plays a key role in launching the logistics process by accurately entering orders, registering shipments, and coordinating transportation services. This position focuses on maintaining precise records, managing shipment exceptions, and supporting the smooth flow of logistics operations while delivering excellent internal and external customer service.
Responsibilities- Begin the logistics process by accurately entering new orders and shipment information into computerized tracking systems.
- Register shipments and ensure all related data is complete, accurate, and up to date in the proprietary database.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and thorough records in all required operating systems and databases.
- Review databases for errors, manage exceptions, and make corrections to ensure data integrity.
- Trace shipments with steamship lines, trucking vendors, railroads, and other suppliers and update information into operations systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve shipment and service exceptions, responding promptly to escalated service requests.
- Provide input to team leaders on departmental initiatives and process improvement projects.
- Perform routine office tasks including typing, faxing, mail distribution, phone messaging, and other administrative duties as required.
- Scan and separate documents in the Document Management System to ensure proper electronic filing and retrieval.
- Update schedules, logs, and task lists on a daily basis to reflect current operational status.
- Update all operating systems as required, including participating in quality assurance and user acceptance testing activities.
- Perform all other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the department.
- High school diploma or equivalent (HSED); some college coursework preferred.
- At least 1 year of experience with increasing responsibilities in a similar or related industry.
- Proficient data entry skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Customer service experience with the ability to interact effectively with internal and external clients.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to manage and resolve exceptions and service issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Strong problem-solving capability and the ability to handle issues independently within defined processes.
- Ability to maintain accurate records in proprietary databases and multiple operating systems.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to plan, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks.
Skills & Qualifications
- Some college education in business, logistics, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience in logistics, transportation, automotive, maritime, or relocation industries is beneficial.
- Familiarity with computerized tracking systems and document management systems is an advantage.
- Experience participating in quality assurance and user acceptance testing is a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to support interaction with various stakeholders.
- Interest in continuous learning and professional development within a supportive, growth-oriented culture.

This is a Contract position based out of Reno, NV.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
