Job DescriptionThe University of Nevada, Reno is seeking a Supply Assistant for Central Services. This position is responsible for delivering and picking up department mail, packages, and freight across the UNR campus.
- Receiving, sorting, scanning, and redelivering packages, U.S. mail, and freight, as well as processing package and freight returns.
- Train and organize student employees to ensure accuracy and safety during delivery runs.
- Prepare outgoing shipments and manage returned or damaged packages.
- Complete the associated paperwork.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Six or more months of applicable experience as described in the job duties and graduation from high school or equivalent education.
- Persons offered employment in this position must submit a pre‑employment screening for controlled substances.
- A valid Class “C” Nevada driver’s license or higher operator’s license is required at the time of appointment and as a condition of continuing employment.

The typical work schedule is Monday through Friday 7:30 am to 4:00 pm; this is subject to change based on organizational needs.
CompensationGrade:
Grade 23. In classified service, salary is in Grade and Step. The Step is determined based on the Nevada Administrative Code. Salary placement above a Step 01 at initial appointment is determined based on the recruitment, the candidate’s qualifications, internal equity and budgets. A request to accelerate salary must be approved by Human Resources and abide by the Nevada Administrative Code.
