The Skilled Technician performs vehicle repair and maintenance as assigned in accordance with dealer and factory standards and builds Customer loyalty by developing trust and ensuring confidence in Auto Nation as a care-giver for their vehicle safety and reliability.

Pay $26 - $46 per flat rate hour depending on experience, trainings, certifications, bonus pay and incentives based on productivity.

Position Overview At Auto Nation, getting customers back on the road is what drives us. We’re looking for an Auto Technician or Auto Mechanic to join our team, and we’re interested in talking to candidates at an experienced level. As an Auto Technician, you’ll perform vehicle repairs as assigned in accordance with dealer and factory standards. Your attention to detail make you a valuable asset to the team as you ensure repairs are completed on time, and deliver top-notch work to delight our customers.

In this role, you’ll interact daily with Customers, Service Advisors, other Technicians, Parts Associates, Cashiers, Sales Associates and Managers.

What are the day-to-day responsibilities?

Stay current in the latest diagnostic methods and service techniques for the vehicles sold and serviced by the dealership

Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards

Follow factory and dealership repair procedures when performing warranty work Participate in service technician training programs

Become familiar with latest bulletins, service manuals and other service publications

Participate in all in-dealership service training activities

Attend manufacture sponsored service trainings

Record cause of failure and a description of work done accurately and clearly on all repair orders

Communicate regularly with service manager, service technician team leader and/or service consultant to confirm repair order information and diagnostic information

Request parts from the parts department as necessary

Communicate regularly with the service manager, service technician team leader and/or service consultant to confirm diagnosis, status of repair, road test results and completion of work Follow company…
