The Lube Technician will perform vehicle maintenance to satisfy compliance with vehicle warranties and assist with maintaining company or client fleets as required. Additionally, the technician will provide facility maintenance and repairs as needed.
Location: 600 Sutro Street, Reno, NV 89512
Hourly Rate: $23.54 Starting pay

- General maintenance and service of MTM Transit service vehicles.
- Perform basic car maintenance work and small repairs.
- Service oil and filters on engine, replenish vehicle fluids.
- Perform transmission services and service differentials.
- Lubricate joints and fittings.
- Inspect wheels for damage.
- Prepare detailed vehicle service reports.
- Replace wiper blades and car batteries.
- Record vehicle repair activity into electronic fleet maintenance management system.
- Assist with road calls as needed.
- Perform tire rotation, inflation and service as needed.
- Assist in maintaining shop and vehicle cleanliness as needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned or required.
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- 1 year of automotive mechanical experience or equivalent training/education.
- Experience using hand and power tools.
- Provide own hand tools as required.
- Must pass pre‑employment DOT physical and maintain a valid DOT medical card.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good organizational skills with attention to timeliness and details.
- Proficient computer skills to ensure electronic repair work orders are completed correctly.
- Demonstrate safety commitment by following all safety and health procedures and modeling the behavior.
- Ability to attend safety and vehicle repair courses and record completion of online training and hands‑on, in‑shop training activities.
- Knowledge of gasoline engine mechanics preferred.
- Ability to work flexible hours as required.
- Willing to follow all company policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Must be drug free and subject to random drug and alcohol testing.
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
