COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION MANAGER I (Provisional License Required)

Location: Reno, NV

Reports To: Regional Manager

Employment Type: Full‑Time, On‑site

Job Summary

The Management Trust is an employee‑owned community association management company serving diverse communities. We are seeking a Community Association Manager I who holds a provisional license and is ready to develop the skills needed to manage a full portfolio as a Community Association Manager II.

Responsibilities
  • Carry out the policies and directives adopted by the Board and communicate updates to support teams.
  • Manage a small portfolio of assigned communities, including single‑family homes, townhomes, condominiums, and commercial/industrial complexes.
  • Maintain current knowledge of governing documents, applicable state regulations, and local ordinances.
  • Oversee the condition and recurring maintenance of the Association’s physical property in accordance with contractual terms.
  • Compile board‑meeting packets, including Managers Report, agenda, previous minutes, executive session items, architectural items, and violation/work‑order reports.
  • Prepare annual‑meeting materials (signature cards, ballots, candidate statements) and execute post‑meeting checklists, ensuring banking and state information is updated.
  • Develop and follow the annual calendar, producing letters, communications, disclosures, and documents for members as required.
  • Coordinate with external vendors to support Association operations.
  • Attend Board and committee meetings as needed.
  • Assist in preparing the annual budget, coding invoices for payment, monitoring cash and reserve accounts, and reconciling financial reports.
  • Perform follow‑up on Board meetings, including minutes, to‑do lists, correspondence, homeowner and vendor calls, work orders, and violations.
  • Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma (or equivalent);
    Associate’s Degree preferred.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal oversight and to prioritize tasks.
  • Highly organized with strong record‑keeping and deadline‑monitoring skills.
  • Proficiency reading and interpreting Association governing documents.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) and phone/office equipment.
  • Team player who is adaptable, dependable, and possesses a solid attendance record.
  • Professional and respectful demeanor with staff, guests, and homeowners.
  • Positive attitude, ownership mentality, and strong problem‑solving ability.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Capability to delegate to support staff while maintaining accountability.
  • Calm conflict‑resolution skills for dealing with Board members and homeowners.
Special

Position Requirements
  • Reliable transportation for site visits; available for evenings and occasional weekend meetings.
  • Must be able to drive in the dark when required.
  • Valid driver’s license, vehicle insurance, and clean driving record per company policy.
Essential Functions
  • Use standard office equipment (computer, phone, copier/scanner).
  • Stand and walk properties at ground level for up to 4 hours when necessary.
  • Remain stationary for periods of time, relocate up to 25 pounds.
  • Travel to and from off‑site locations.
Schedule & Travel
  • Monday‑Thursday: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
  • Friday: 8:00 am – 3:00 pm
  • Occasional long hours may be required to meet business needs.
