Operations Manager, Construction Manager/ Foreman
Q&D Construction, a top‑ranked general contractor, is currently seeking an experienced Superintendent to be part of our Aviation Group team. The Aviation Group focuses on work at airports across the United States, including new terminal buildings, support facilities, tenant improvements, equipment upgrades, vendor build‑outs, and airline‑specific construction activities such as branding, signage, gate relocations, and back‑of‑house facilities. The role requires extensive travel and relocation to the project location.
Responsibilities- Communicate and reinforce the organization’s vision, values, and goals, including the Incident and Injury Free (IIF) safety program.
- Study contract documents to plan construction procedures based on start and completion times and staffing requirements.
- Determine required tools, materials, construction equipment, and permanent equipment to conform to work schedules.
- Confer with and direct supervisory personnel and subcontractors, interpret contract documents, coordinate construction phases, and collaborate with supervisors, engineers, inspectors, and suppliers to resolve problems and improve methods.
- Inspect work in progress to ensure quality workmanship that conforms to contract documents and schedules.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and Equal Employment Opportunity/Affirmative Action policies.
- Verify that products and methods used meet or exceed project specifications.
- Maintain open communication between contractors to support project activities and schedules.
- Direct field construction activities, working with clients, project manager, and project engineer to determine construction methods, sequencing, manpower levels, material qualities, equipment, and schedules.
- Supervise all craft foremen and craft workers in the execution of construction activities.
- Project experience with projects $20M+.
- 10+ years of experience in the construction industry.
- 5+ years of supervisory experience using similar construction methods, equipment, and tools; ability to read and interpret construction documents.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills and an ability to control and supervise large groups.
- Aviation experience is a bonus but not required.

Salary$90,000 - $140,000 per year.
