Construction Specialist; CDL

Construction Specialist with CDL - Reno, NV

We are looking for an experienced Construction Specialist with a CDL to support construction projects within the Reno area.

• General laborer duties and support on construction sites.
• Use various equipment, hand and power tools.
• Prepare ground trenches for pipes and utility lines.
• Remove, fill, or compact earth.
• Signal equipment operators to facilitate alignment, movement, and adjustment of machinery to conform to grade and utility safety standards.
• Responsible for site set-up and clean-up.
• Load and unload tools, materials, and equipment on truck.
• Involved in new site Job Safety Analysis (JSA) prior to starting construction.
• Set up safety perimeter using signage, cones, and safety barriers; flag traffic when necessary.
• May be required to work overtime, after hours, on weekends, for emergencies, or be on-call as work is needed to ensure work is completed.
• Ability to follow instructions.
• Drive heavy equipment/haul materials.

• CDL A License.
• Commercial driving and/or heavy equipment operation – 1 year experience.
• Availability to be on-call and work weekends.
• Travel is required (100%).

• Construction experience – 1 year.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Understanding of basic utility construction processes and terminology (a plus).

Hourly Range: $26 – $30 per hour, based on experience.

Schedule:

Day Shift Monday – Friday & Night Shift Sunday – Thursday.

Travel Requirements: 100%.
