ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Coordinate daily with the Project Superintendent to support field operations and construction sequencing.
  • Assist with constructability reviews, logistics planning, and phasing coordination.
  • Track field issues, RFIs, and design clarifications to support uninterrupted construction progress.
  • Participate in site walks, inspections, and coordination meetings.
  • Manage RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, and design coordination logs.
  • Review submittals for completeness, conformance, and constructability prior to formal approval routing.
  • Maintain accurate project records, including drawings, specifications, and revision logs.
  • Support document control processes in Procore or equivalent project management platform.
  • Assist the Superintendents with development and maintenance of short-interval schedules and look-ahead plans.
  • Track subcontractor progress against schedule milestones.
  • Support schedule updates and coordination with field leadership.
  • Assist Sr. Project Manager with pricing reviews, change order documentation, and scope clarification.
  • Track potential change items and support cost impact evaluations.
  • Help maintain cost control logs and backup documentation.
  • Support project QA/QC efforts, including inspections, testing coordination, and punch list tracking.
  • Verify that work aligns with contract documents, owner standards, and applicable codes and standards.
  • Assist with turnover documentation, O&M manuals, and closeout requirements.
  • Promote site safety standards and assist with safety documentation and compliance.
  • Participate in safety meetings and support enforcement of project safety Policies.
  • Meet requirements of regular attendance in order to effectively complete job responsibilities in a timely manner.
  • Any other duties as assigned within the scope of this position.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
  • Cooperate with others in the accomplishment of joint tasks and common objectives.
  • Effectively communicate with coworkers, members of the department leadership, and other departments, in both written and verbal communication.
  • Strong understanding of construction documents, RFIs, submittals, and field coordination.
  • Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, Excel, and related construction software.
  • Ability to work effectively with superintendents, subcontractors, designers, and owner representatives.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced construction environment.
  • Ability of complex reading, writing, math, and task completion skills is required.
  • Field-first mindset with strong attention to detail.
  • Proactive problem-solving and follow-through skills.
  • Professional demeanor when interacting with ownership, consultants, and trade partners.
  • Must have the following skills: coordination, analyzing, instructing, driving, precision working, following instructions, influencing others, memorization, problem solving, independent judgment, and decision making.
  • May require extended hours to support critical construction activities and milestones.
  • Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field required.
  • 2–5 years of experience in commercial construction (arena, hospitality, gaming, or large public venues preferred).
  • Experience with large-scale, fast-track or phased construction projects preferred.
  • Familiarity with Nevada construction practices, inspections, and permitting processes.
  • Previous experience working on gaming, hospitality, or assembly occupancies.
  • Or any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES
  • Must be able to maintain valid driver’s license and meet GSR driving requirements.
  • OSHA 30.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • While performing the duties of this job, the team member is constantly sitting, standing, walking, occasionally reaching overhead, bending over, crouching, kneeling, crawling, climbing, and balancing during the duration of their shift.
