Overview
The Safety Coordinatorsupportsthecompany ’sEnvironmental Healthand Safetyprogramthroughconsistentfieldpresence ,proactivehazardidentification,andhandsonengagementwithcrews.
Thisroleisprimarilyfield-basedandisresponsibleforreinforcingsafeworkpracticesacrossactiveconstructionandservicejobsites.
The Safety Coordinatorwillworkcloselywithfieldleadershiptopromoteaccountability ,compliance,andaculturewheresafetyisacorevalue.
- Facilitatenewhiresafetyonboardingandorientation
- Delivertoolboxtalksandleadroutinesafetymeetingsinthefield
- Provideongoingfield-basedsafetytrainingtoemployeesasneeded
- Reinforcesafetyexpectationsandcompanystandardswithforemen,superintendents,andfieldemployees
- Promoteaproactivesafetyculturethroughconsistentjobsitepresenceandengagement
- ConductroutineandunannouncedjobsitevisitstoobserveworkpracticesandverifycompliancewithcompanyandOSHAstandards
- Performsafetyaudits,inspections,andjobhazardanalyses
- Identifyunsafeconditionsandbehaviorsandworkdirectlywithsupervisorstoimplementcorrectiveactions
- Trackandfollowuponopensafetyitemstoensuretimelyresolution
- Assistwithincident,injury,andnearmissinvestigations
- Participateinrootcauseanalysisandcorrectiveactiondevelopment
- Ensuredocumentationiscompletedaccuratelyandsubmittedinatimelymanner
- Monitorcorrectivemeasurestopreventrecurrence
- SupportOSHAandcompanycomplianceefforts
- Maintainaccuratesafetyrecords,inspection logs,training documentation,andincidentreports
- Assistwithmaintainingrecordsandsafetyprogramdocumentation
- Supportinternalandexternalsafetyaudits
- HelpmanagePPEinventoryandensureproperusageinthefield
- High School Diplomaor GED required
- OSHA
10certificationrequired.
Ifnotcurrentlycertified,mustobtainwithin
30daysofhire - OSHA
30certificationpreferred.
Ifnotcurrentlycertified,mustobtainwithin6monthsofhire - FirstAidandCPRcertificationrequiredormustobtainwithin
60daysofhire - 1to3yearsofconstructionorfieldexperiencepreferred
- Stronginterestinworkplacesafetyandregulatorycompliancerequired
- Abilitytocommunicateclearlyandconfidentlywithfieldemployeesrequired
- Basiccomputerproficiencyin Microsoft Officeandsafetyreportingtoolsrequired
- Valid driver’slicenserequiredwithabilitytotraveltovariousjobsitesasneeded
- Observantanddetailoriented
- Comfortableaddressingunsafebehaviorinthefield
- Organizedandconsistentwithdocumentation
- Teamorientedwithacollaborativemindset
- Willingnesstolearnandgrowwithinthesafetyprofession
- Abilitytowalkjobsites,climb ladders,andnavigateactiveconstructionenvironments
- Abilitytostandforextendedperiods
- Abilitytowearrequired
