This is a field-focused leadership role for construction professionals who thrive in fast-paced industrial environments and have experience managing multidisciplinary scopes in active construction settings.

This role combines office-based project development work with site-based construction execution, offering a dynamic mix of environments throughout the project lifecycle. Typical work arrangements for this role include:
Standard 40-hour work weeks during project development, procurement, and planning phases
Site-based rotational assignments, typically 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off, during construction execution
Travel to project sites, client offices, Mine Spec offices, and stakeholder meetings across North America
Office, home-based, or hybrid environments depending on project phase and assignment
Position Overview
The Project Development & Construction Manager serves as Mine Spec's senior representative on assigned projects and acts as the primary interface between Mine Spec, the client organization, EPCMs, contractors, and project stakeholders.
This is a unique role that combines project development, construction management, owner's representative support, contractor management, procurement, execution planning, and client relationship management into a single leadership position.
Unlike a traditional Project Manager role that focuses primarily on construction execution, this position supports projects from early development through construction completion. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping project execution strategies, developing procurement packages, supporting contractor selection, managing stakeholder relationships, and ultimately helping lead project delivery during construction.

The ideal candidate is equally comfortable participating in executive planning meetings, facilitating contractor strategy sessions, developing procurement packages, reviewing engineering deliverables, leading constructability reviews, supporting business development initiatives, and managing field execution teams during active construction.
Candidates should expect periodic involvement during scheduled time off to support critical project requirements, client needs, and project continuity -- consistent with the senior client-facing nature of this role.
