As a Data Center Construction Safety Professional, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety of our construction projects. You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining safety protocols, conducting inspections, and providing guidance to our construction teams to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement comprehensive safety programs and procedures for data center construction projects.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and risks and take proactive measures to mitigate them.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure adherence to safety standards throughout all phases of construction.
- Provide safety training and orientation for all personnel on-site, including subcontractors and vendors.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses and prepare detailed reports with recommendations for preventive measures.
- Keep abreast of industry regulations, standards, and best practices related to construction safety and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal requirements.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for safety-related inquiries and concerns from project stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and training activities.
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction safety management.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA 30, 500 and 510 regulations, NFPA codes, and other relevant safety standards.
- Experience in conducting safety training and developing safety programs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Certification as a Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) or Occupational Health and Safety Technician (OHST) is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
