Construction Manager – Site Services

Responsibilities

• Acts as owner’s representative for construction projects
• Provides technical review of material submittals, shop drawings, and as-built documents
• Manage day-to-day field coordination for site-wide services, including contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and support crews
• Coordinate and monitor safety, quality, productivity, and performance
• Oversee contractor deployment and subcontractor use for waste disposal, water delivery, cleaning, fueling, fencing, sanitation, temporary power, and other site support activities
• Ensure service activities comply with applicable environmental requirements, MSHA requirements, project procedures, and approved work methodologies
• Track service needs, usage frequency, delivery methods, and field constraints
• Support package development, procurement planning, contractor readiness, scope clarification, and field assessments
• Work with the Contracts Administrator to identify, document, quantify, and support approval of changes related to assigned services packages
• Proactively coordinate with various teams to resolve interface issues
• Monitor contractor health and safety performance and elevate non-compliant conditions

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field
• Seven years’ experience (including personnel supervision)
• Fifteen years of experience with Associate degree
• Seventeen years related experience without a degree
• Experience in Construction Management of mining projects is required
• MSHA certification required, or ability to obtain within three months of hire
• Ability to supervise internal staff, contractors, external field representatives, and field office personnel
• Analytical and organizational skills
• Very strong communication skills and computer software skills
• Field problem-solving and practical judgment

Demonstrates expertise in Construction Management, particularly in mining projects, with a strong focus on safety, compliance, and effective coordination of contractors and subcontractors. Proficient in technical review processes and field assessments to ensure project success and adherence to environmental and safety standards.
