What You Will Do

You’ll spend your time in the field, supporting active concrete construction operations and working directly with English‑speaking and Spanish‑speaking craft professionals, superintendents, and project leadership. The focus will be on consistent field execution, practical problem‑solving, clear communication, and accountability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide safety oversight across multiple Reno‑area construction projects
  • Communicate safety requirements clearly in English and Spanish
  • Conduct daily site walks, inspections, audits, and hazard assessments
  • Maintain a visible and approachable field presence
  • Support forming, finishing, tilt‑up, cast‑in‑place, slab, and concrete‑pour operations
  • Coach crews and field leaders on safe work practices and corrective actions
  • Address unsafe conditions promptly and professionally
  • Enforce established safety policies and complete required documentation
  • Identify safety gaps and communicate concerns to field and project leadership
  • Coordinate with another Safety Manager to maintain consistent project coverage
  • Provide occasional overnight coverage for scheduled concrete pours
  • Maintain accurate reports, documentation, and corrective‑action follow‑up
  • Promote a practical, proactive, and solutions‑focused safety culture
Required Qualifications
  • Professional fluency in English and Spanish
  • At least 5 years of construction safety experience
  • Commercial or industrial construction safety experience
  • Current CHST or ability to obtain the CHST within 60 days of starting
  • Ability to meet BCSP eligibility requirements for the CHST
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA construction safety standards
  • Experience working directly with craft professionals, superintendents, and project leadership
  • Ability to enforce safety expectations while maintaining credibility with field teams
  • Ability to travel between Reno‑area jobsites
  • Willingness to occasionally support scheduled overnight concrete pours
Preferred Qualifications
  • Concrete construction safety experience
  • Experience with tilt‑up, cast‑in‑place, slab pours, forming, or finishing
  • Data center construction experience
  • Four‑year degree in safety, construction management, or a related field
  • Current CHST or another relevant BCSP credential
Schedule and Travel
  • Approximately 50 hours per week
  • Primarily Monday through Friday
  • Core daytime hours typically begin at 7:00 AM, with additional hours based on project needs
  • Occasional 1:00 AM starts for scheduled overnight concrete pours
  • Field‑based position supporting multiple Reno‑area jobsites
What Makes You a Good Fit
  • Prefer working alongside field teams instead of managing safety from behind a desk
  • Communicate confidently with crews in both English and Spanish
  • Balance safety expectations, accountability, and production
  • Correct unsafe behavior without creating unnecessary conflict
  • Organized, practical, consistent, and proactive
  • Want a stable, long‑term role with strong benefits and growth potential

If you are bilingual in English and Spanish, have at least five years of construction safety experience, and currently hold or can obtain your CHST within 60 days of starting, apply today for immediate consideration. Qualified candidates who may require relocation to Reno are encouraged to apply.
