Assistant Project Manager - Data Center Construction
This role leads the planning and delivery of a data center construction project at the Reno Switch facility, ensuring that all work meets scope, schedule, budget, and quality expectations. The Assistant Project Manager coordinates construction activities, manages stakeholders, and drives successful completion of a complex commercial construction project in a mission-critical environment.
Responsibilities- Lead the planning and delivery of the data center construction project.
- Ensure project completion aligns with scope, schedule, budget, and quality expectations.
- Coordinate construction activities and manage various stakeholders.
- Drive successful completion of commercial construction projects in mission-critical environments.
- Manage RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
- Coordinate MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) activities.
- Oversee scheduling and look-ahead planning.
- Ensure effective communication and client interfacing.
- 2-7 years of experience as an Assistant Project Manager, Project Engineer, or Field Engineer.
- Experience with data center or mission-critical projects.
- Proficiency in Procore and construction documentation.
- Field and office experience in commercial general contracting.
- Strong communication and client interface skills.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), and Bluebeam.
- BIM coordination exposure.
- LEED or commissioning exposure.
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
- Knowledge of electrical or mechanical construction.
The work will be conducted in a mission-critical environment at the Reno Switch Data Center. The role requires both field and office experience and involves coordinating with multiple stakeholders and managing complex construction documentation. The candidate should be comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, ensuring that all project goals are met efficiently.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Reno, NV.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $60.00 - $60.00/hr.
