This is a union position with Operating Engineers Local 3. The base wage is $41.20/hour with $27.40/hour fringe benefits.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Preparation of field notes, layout coordination and calculation sheets.
  • Manage survey crews and projects.
  • Ability to perform survey field work, and work outside in all weather conditions.
  • Coordinate findings of work with construction and engineering personnel, and others concerned with a project.
  • Brief project managers on projects as they are being completed.
Experience &

Qualifications:
  • Five years minimum of field surveying including topography, boundary reconnaissance, and construction staking.
  • Familiar with relevant equipment such as Leica, Trimble Robotic Total Station & GPS, digital and conventional levels, and related software applications.
  • Use of AutoCAD and Civil 3D for mapping desirable but not required.
  • Land Surveyor in Training (LSIT) certification is a plus.
Key Requirements:
  • Ability to work safe, independent, and with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing.
  • Good math and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to make decisions with the company’s best interest in mind.
  • Demonstrate a professional manner while communicating with co-workers and clients.
  • Must have a valid Driver's License and be insurable at the firm's standard rates and pass a mandatory pre-employment drug screen.
