Primary Purpose

The Production & Technical Director provides strategic leadership and hands-on oversight for all production and technical environments across Life Church NV’s campuses. This role oversees Audio, Video, Lighting, and Broadcast systems while leading staff and volunteer teams to deliver consistent, high-quality worship experiences.

This position serves as the central point of coordination for production across campuses—developing scalable systems, training leaders, stewarding technology, and partnering with ministry teams to support the mission and culture of Life Church NV. The Production & Technical Director balances technical excellence, leadership development, and spiritual maturity in a fast-paced, multi-site ministry environment.

Key Responsibilities Leadership & Spiritual Oversight
  • Model a growing, authentic relationship with Jesus Christ and alignment with Life Church NV’s mission, values, and theology
  • Provide pastoral care, prayer, encouragement, and leadership development for production staff and volunteers
  • Cultivate a culture of excellence, humility, teamwork, and joy within the production ministry
  • Collaborate closely with the Worship Pastor to support and advance the worship vision, cultivating a culture of excellence across all environments. Work in close partnership with Campus Pastors, Worship Leaders, Weekend Experience leadership, and Central Staff to ensure unified, high-quality experiences.
Team Building & Development
  • Recruit, onboard, train, schedule, and empower volunteer AVL teams across all campuses
  • Develop leaders within production teams, creating clear pathways for growth and ownership
  • Implement consistent systems for scheduling, communication, and training
  • Create documentation, systems diagrams, and training resources that support long-term sustainability
Live Production & Technical Oversight
  • Oversee all live production for weekend services, events, and special gatherings
  • Ensure consistent production quality and reliability across all locations
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues quickly and calmly in live environments
  • Establish and maintain setup, operation, and teardown standards as needed
  • Regularly evaluate production quality and implement improvements
Systems, Strategy & Stewardship
  • Evaluate, implement, and maintain AVL and broadcast infrastructure across campuses
  • Manage department budgets, equipment lifecycle planning, and vendor relationships
  • Lead long-term planning for system upgrades, facility integrations, and future campuses
  • Oversee production technology integration for new spaces, events, and digital ministry initiatives
  • Ensure scalability and reliability for in-room worship and online services
Cross-Department Collaboration
  • Partner with worship, creative, guest experience, and facilities teams to align technical execution with creative vision
  • Serve as the production liaison for conferences, events, and ministry initiatives
  • Contribute technical insight and innovation during creative planning and brainstorming sessions
Required Qualifications
  • Evident faith commitment and active involvement in the local church
  • Proven experience leading production or technical teams in a church or live-event environment
  • High-level proficiency in audio, video, lighting, and streaming/broadcast systems
  • Experience training and leading volunteer teams
  • Strong troubleshooting ability in live environments
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
