Job Summary

Position Title:

Coordinator, A/V and Broadcasting (Nevada Athletics). The role is responsible for operating, troubleshooting and maintaining AV equipment and systems, live event production, and national TV broadcast elements across all athletic department venues. The Coordinator reports to the Assistant Athletic Director, A/V and IT Technology.

Responsibilities
  • Support national television broadcasts in Mackay Stadium, Lawlor Events Center, and other ICA venues.
  • Oversee and coordinate all RF frequencies for pre‑game, in‑game, and post‑game activities to mitigate interference.
  • Conduct system checks to ensure peripheral software/hardware connectivity (e.g., Stat Crew, DV Sports, referee microphones).
  • Provide media and audio‑visual technical services for ICA Conferencing & Events, including installation, setup, and operation of media equipment.
  • Maintain inventory of AV/IT equipment and manage work orders for procurement of supplies.
  • Work directly with TV broadcast producers to identify and facilitate broadcast requirements.
  • Perform RF transmitter maintenance (IOT UHF, solid‑state VHF/MF, AM radio, tube‑type VHF/MF transmitters, antennas, transmission lines), and supervise high‑power filters, digital modulators, towers, lighting systems, and backup generators.
Qualifications
  • Education:

    High school graduation + 4 years of related experience; OR Associate’s Degree + 3 years of related experience; OR Bachelor’s Degree + 2 years of related experience; OR Master’s Degree + 1 year of related experience.
  • Related experience: project management, TV broadcast, live event production, multimedia at events.
Schedule & Travel

Variable work schedule that includes late nights, weekends, and holidays.
