KOLO 8 News Now is the ABC, CW, and Telemundo affiliate television station serving the Reno/Sparks area, Northern Nevada, and parts of eastern California. KOLO broadcasts seven hours of news weekdays. We are also dedicated to serving the community through KOLO Cares, partnering with area non-profit organizations.

KOLO 8 News Now has an opening for an experienced executive news producer. The newscast must be produced in an ethically sound manner while maintaining energy and creativity. The executive producer needs to have excellent writing skills, good news judgment, strong decision-making, and leadership skills.

• Supervise morning producers and reporters.
• Make creative and editorial decisions.
• Update website and social media.
• Oversee the execution of morning newscasts.
• Write content for the newscast and online.
• Arrange stories and contribute story ideas and pitches.

• Two or more years of newsroom experience and a degree in journalism or another related field.
• Experience with ENPS is a plus.
