KSTU, the E.W. Scripps Fox affiliate in Salt Lake City, Utah, is seeking a Full-Time Temporary Photographer who will bring visual storytelling to life across multiple platforms. You'll be at the heart of breaking news and feature stories, operating cutting-edge equipment and collaborating with our newsroom team to deliver content that connects with our community. This is your opportunity to showcase your technical expertise and creative vision in one of America's most scenic and dynamic markets.
WHATYOU'LL DO:
- Capture and edit visual content for multiple platforms.
- Operate and maintain live equipment including microwave, satellite, and related news-gathering equipment.
- Workin tandem withnewsroom personnel to create and develop news stories.
- Team up with reporters to create packages with compelling video.
- Shoot vosots and natural sound packages.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Associate's degree in related discipline preferred
- Generally 2+ years of experience in related field preferred
- Proficiency with lighting and computer-based editing
- Proficiency with live microwave truck operation
- Knowledge and demonstration of creativity, editorial judgment, journalistic ethics and libel laws
- Knowledge of and proficiency in posting content to station's websites
- Able to work efficiently under multiple deadlines on a daily basis
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Valid driver's license, good driving record, and ability to provide proof of insurance with the company-required insurance limits
