Hospital Services Technician

The Hospital Services Technician travels between customer healthcare facilities providing on‑site proactive collection and exchange of waste containers for various program services, including Sharps Management, Pharmaceutical Waste, Controlled Substances, and Document Management. The role is performed under management direction and is scheduled on a regular basis.

Monday‑Thursday servicing Northern Nevada Sierra Med Center and ER at McCarran, Reno, NV.

Start time: 4:00 a.m. Compensation: $19.60 per hour.

• Travel between customer healthcare facilities to monitor, collect, and exchange waste containers for program services.
• Interact professionally with onsite customer staff to ensure service expectations are met or exceeded.
• Maintain a rigid collection and service schedule.
• Communicate duty status on a defined schedule.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

• On‑site presence at WMHS customer locations and compliance with all customer immunization requirements.
• 2 years of industry‑related experience in a customer service capacity preferred, or equivalent related work experience demonstrating strong communication skills and customer service in a variety of settings.
• Driver’s License.
• No prior hospital service experience required; training will be provided.

• High School Diploma or GED (accredited).

The expected base pay rate for this on‑site position is $19.60 per hour. Pay may be influenced by experience, education, training, certifications, qualifications, and work location.

• Ability to operate in inside garage, shop, or gas plant conditions as well as outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat, and humidity.
