Role DescriptionThis is a full‑time, on‑site position located in Reno, NV. As an Architectural Design Manager, you will oversee design management processes for various construction projects, ensuring alignment with client requirements and project goals. Responsibilities include managing architectural designs, developing construction drawings, coordinating with contractors and consultants, and reviewing project progress to meet quality standards. You will also collaborate on design strategies and provide support in feasibility studies, planning, and project execution while ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards.
Qualifications- Active architectural license in the State of Nevada (required).
- Strong experience in architectural design management within a construction or design‑build environment
, with a focus on preconstruction and constructability. - Ability to serve as Architect of Record or provide licensed architectural oversight during preconstruction and coordination phases, as required.
- Proven proficiency in the development, review, and coordination of construction documents
, with an emphasis on clarity, accuracy, and constructability. - Solid understanding of construction means and methods
, including how design decisions impact cost, schedule, sequencing, and risk. - Experience collaborating closely with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, consultants, and engineers throughout preconstruction and early project phases.
- Proficiency with BIM and VDC workflows and industry‑standard design software (e.g., Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam); ability to guide and review model‑based coordination efforts preferred.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills
, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast‑paced construction environment. - Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Architectural Engineering, or a related field
. - Prior experience supporting or leading large‑scale commercial or industrial construction projects is highly desirable.
