redfield outreach program representative summary description
in collaboration with various stakeholders, the community outreach representative is responsible for the coordination and implementation of cohesive plans to engage outside community organizations to support student achievement goals. The representative performs complex and diversified clerical, administrative, and technical support functions that ultimately support the goals and objectives of the redfield outreach coordinator program, education alliance and the wcsd strategic plan.
essentialduties and responsibilities
- serves as the liaison contact between school leadership, key school staff, potential and existing school partners, volunteer groups, redfield sponsored partners and district technical support resources.
- collaborates with various district departments such as education alliance, volunteer services, grants department, transportation, business, legal and others as appropriate to implement programs and services for students.
- in collaboration with education alliance staff, provides support in the coordination of external education experiences for students, teachers, and families such as field trips and booking locations for activities.
- assists with the coordination of wcsd transportation, boys and girls club transportation.
- collaborates with face liaisons and other school site staff to promote family engagement activities.
- oversees logistical procedures for student activities outside of wcsd.
- coordinates with external partners to conduct workshops for classes, specific grade levels, and schools.
- collaborates with external partners to plan meetings and provide thank you letters and recognition through inclusion events.
- facilitates internal and external communication and media releases.
- schedules school assemblies.
- assists in data collection for reports, evaluations, and program communication to internal and external partners.
- assists in vendor payments, database maintenance for reporting, and budget recordkeeping.
- collaborates with the business office to process independent contractor agreements.
- works in conjunction with non-profit partners to optimize program success.
- may complete other duties as assigned.
any combination of education and experience that could likely provide the required knowledge and skills is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and skills would be:
education: high school diploma or equivalent required.
experience: two (2) years of progressively responsible experience working with community organizations, ideally interfacing with schools and utilizing experience using standard word-processing, spreadsheets and database applications.
licenses/certificates: possession of or ability to obtain a state of nevada driver license with a driving record acceptable to the district.
knowledge of- wcsd policies and procedures that pertain to school-based work.
- informal learning organizations serving wcsd students.
- budget recordkeeping processes.
- vendor payment oversight process.
- microsoft suite, google drive and other office software and database management tools.
- accurate and efficient typing and data entry.
- scheduling and coordinating logistics for events and field trips.

- establish and maintain effective working relationships.
- frequently interact with various staff and stakeholders with desire to build strong relationships.
