Nevada Robotics at DRI is hiring part-time leaders to support educator robotics and drone professional development, community outreach, and competitions. This position is based in Reno and will support robotics and drone educator professional development, community outreach events, and competitions.

Support robotics and drone educator professional development.

Community outreach events.

Competitions.

Work some evenings and weekends. Hours and schedules vary by the week and are based on program needs. The position includes paid travel to towns and cities in Nevada including but not limited to Carson City, Fernley, Fallon, Minden, Las Vegas, Elko, Winnemucca, Mesquite, and Ely.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in education or related field
• Minimum of 2 years of classroom teaching, or teaching in other educational settings
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite programs

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in education or related field
• 2+ years of classroom teaching experience
• 2+ years of experience teaching robotics or drones in a classroom or other educational setting
• Nevada Teaching License

This position requires physical tasks such as lifting objects of 20-60 lbs., stooping, bending, and kneeling, and standing for long periods of time.

Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background check.

This position starts at $30/hr depending on experience; no benefits. Exempt. No Full-Time Equivalent 45.0%.
