Job Overview

The University Libraries seeks a Library Program Specialist Graduate Assistant to support open educational resources and other instructional initiatives, including the Press books authoring platform, outreach, and AI literacy efforts.

Responsibilities
  • Format and edit content in the Press books authoring platform for faculty using open educational resources.
  • Promote the University Libraries’ open educational resources initiatives and other instructional areas by creating outreach materials and assisting with events.
  • Edit and create instructional materials about information literacy, AI literacy, and library research skills (videos, handouts, webpages, online modules).
  • Assist with workshops, high‑school visits, provide research assistance to library users, and analyze assessment data as required.
Required Qualifications
  • Being enrolled as a doctoral student at the University of Nevada, Reno.
  • Active in a degree‑seeking program.
  • Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience creating or editing educational materials (videos, tutorials, handouts, etc.).
  • Experience with WCAG and accessibility standards for online content.
  • Experience using AI responsibly in workflows while providing human oversight.
Schedule and Compensation

20 hours per week for 10 months (August through May).

Compensation:
Graduate Teaching Assistant Exempt.
