Job Description
The Department of Physiology and Cell Biology at the University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine (UNR Med) is inviting applications for a tenure‑track position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor.
We seek applicants with research interests in neuroscience, neuromuscular disease, cancer or related fields. Scholars should have a record of publications and an interest or experience teaching medical and graduate students. Candidates who have secured NIH grant awards (K99, R00, R21 or RO1) or equivalent are strongly encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities- Conduct basic and translational research in neuroscience, neuromuscular disease, cancer, or related fields.
- Teach medical and graduate students in the School of Medicine.
- Engage with faculty in basic and translational research and train the next generation of clinicians and scientists.
- PhD or MD/PhD.
- At least 5 years postdoctoral experience.
- Research interests in neuroscience, neuromuscular disease, cancer or related fields.
- Academic credentials commensurate with an appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor.
Position includes a competitive salary, fringe benefits, and a start‑up package.
