Position FTE:
Full and Part Time positions available.

Position Type:
Certified Nevada Department of Education.

Licensure Needed:
Alternative Education or an Elementary, Middle School, Secondary or Special license for the age range of the position.

Contract Types:
Standard and Limited Term. Limited term contracts are assignments for a limited duration and are grant‑funded; they are contingent upon continued funding. The hiring administrator may retain an incumbent for the duration of the grant without re‑advertising, and at the conclusion of the position, the incumbent will be eligible to participate in the exclusive transfer process and overage process in accordance with the Washoe Education Association negotiated agreement.

Qualifications

Applicants must hold the appropriate Nevada Commission for Teacher Licensure license as specified above.

Responsibilities

Teachers will work with classrooms, families, and the broader school community to promote student success through academic instruction and meaningful collaboration. Teachers will develop and deliver instructional programs, assess student progress, and provide guidance to students and families. Teachers will adhere to district policies and standards and participate in ongoing professional development.

Benefit packages are available for all employees. Eligible employees who are regularly scheduled to work 27.5 hours per week or more receive full benefits of the District. Health insurance premiums are paid by employees at a prorated percent for those working less than full time.

New employees will be fingerprinted upon hire and will have $58.50 deducted from their first paycheck to help defray the cost of fingerprinting. Fingerprint fees are subject to change.
