** Job Description
**** Responsibilities:
*** Assist in the supervision and training of academic peer mentors
* Plan and deliver two academic workshops per month to program participants
* Assist with major department events and peer mentor socials
* Mentor a First in the Pack roster of students
* Data collection, evaluation, and administrative reporting
* Represent the First-Generation Student Center at a variety of university events, including Nevada Bound, New Student Orientation Sessions, Nevada Fit, etc.
* Create social media content for the First-Gen Center
* Front desk reception duties as needed
* Assist with grading for a first-year experience course as needed
* Other duties as assigned
** Required Qualifications****:
*** Enrolled as a full-time graduate student at the University of Nevada, Reno
* Strong written and oral communication skills
* Ability to work with first-generation undergraduate students of all backgrounds
* Strong technology, organization, programming, and evaluation skills
** Preferred Qualifications****:
*** Experience with tutoring and/or mentoring
* Familiarity with financial aid and admissions policies
* An academic program in Education, Counseling, Human Development, or Social Work
** Schedule
* * 20-25 Hours/ weekly

First-Generation Student Center hours are 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, but occasional evening and weekend work may be required.
