Part‑Time Faculty – Early Childhood Education

Truckee Meadows Community College (TMCC) is recruiting part‑time faculty to teach courses in early childhood education. Qualified applicants from all backgrounds are welcome for temporary part‑time teaching assignments, which may be delivered in‑person, online, or hybrid.

• Teach course content at the 100‑ and 200‑level courses ($1,050 credit) and at the 300‑ and 400‑level courses ($1,150 credit).
• Assess student learning and stay current in the field of early childhood education.
• Refer students to supportive college resources.
• Complete mandatory professional development training.
• Use current technology and maintain professional conduct and ethical standards.

Part‑time faculty are paid $1,050 per credit for 100‑ and 200‑level courses and $1,150 per credit for 300‑ and 400‑level courses.

• Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Human Development and Family Studies, or a closely related field from a regionally accredited institution.
• Desire to work with students, faculty, and staff from many different backgrounds.

Part‑time faculty may attend a paid orientation, receive paid professional development training, receive tuition reimbursement through Grant‑in‑Aid, and receive longevity payments based on years of service. Part‑time faculty are not eligible for health benefits unless they meet specific workload requirements per semester; those who meet the eligibility criteria can access a comprehensive and competitive benefits package.
