Job DescriptionThe University of Nevada, Reno Orvis School of Nursing invites applicants to apply for 9-month or 12-month non-tenure track positions or tenure track positions. This posting is for future openings for all specialties. Once positions become available, applications will be reviewed.

Responsibilities include teaching successfully in undergraduate and/or graduate programs according to educational preparation, expertise, and school needs. The successful candidate will support the mission, philosophy, and objectives of the Orvis School of Nursing and the University of Nevada, Reno.

Onsite Status
Positions are onsite positions; though, we reserve the right to hire online instructors on rare occasion.
Required Qualifications
Lecturer II – Master's in Nursing or a BSN with a related field Master's.
Assistant Professor (non-tenure track or tenure track) – Bachelor's or Master's degree in nursing and doctoral degree (DNP, PhD, or DNSc) in nursing or related field.
Associate Professor (non-tenure track or tenure track) - Bachelor's or Master's degree in nursing and doctoral degree (DNP, PhD, or DNSc) in nursing or related field.
All
- Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Nevada or eligible for licensure in Nevada.

Grants-in-aid for Faculty Employees
The University is proud to provide a reduced-rate tuition benefit to faculty and qualified dependents. Faculty can take up to six credits per semester at a reduced rate. Dependents of faculty have unlimited credits, but in order to be eligible children must be unmarried and under the age of 24 and must receive at least 50% of their financial support from the employee and/or employee's spouse or domestic partner.
