The University of Nevada, Reno seeks an Undergraduate Research Coordinator to support and expand undergraduate research opportunities across the institution. Reporting to the Director of Undergraduate Research, this position plays a key role in advancing university-wide efforts that engage students in research, scholarship, creative activity, and experiential learning.
The coordinator is responsible for administering undergraduate research funding programs, coordinating application and award processes, supporting program assessment and continuous improvement efforts, and managing day-to-day program operations. The position also develops and delivers student-focused workshops and professional development opportunities, coordinates campus-wide events including the Wolf Pack Discoveries Poster Symposium and supports outreach efforts that increase awareness and participation in undergraduate research programs.
Working collaboratively with faculty, staff, students, and external partners, the coordinator contributes to the continued growth of undergraduate research initiatives that support student success, graduate school preparation, and workforce development.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree and two (2) years of related work experience OR
Master's Degree and one (1) year of related work experience. Related experience includes educational program development for students of diverse backgrounds, marketing or public relations experience, event coordination, or related experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience coordinating academic, student success, research, fellowship, scholarship, or grant-funded programs.
- Experience administering application, review, award, or funding processes.
- Experience developing and delivering workshops, presentations, or training programs.
- Experience working collaboratively with faculty, students, and administrative stakeholders in a higher education environment.

Grants-in-Aid for Faculty Employees
The University is proud to provide a reduced-rate tuition benefit to faculty and qualified dependents. Faculty can take up to six credits per semester at a reduced rate.
