Nevada State University invites applications for the position of Student Worker
- Speech-Language Pathology Clinical-Research Assistant. The student worker will work for the Speech‑Language Pathology (SLP) program, located in the Christenson Education Building and/or at the Rite Care location. They will support the SLP program by aiding faculty research and assisting with academic programming for the department and clinical programming for the Speech‑Language Pathology Clinic.

Core Responsibilities
  • Working with clinical faculty in preparing client materials, greeting clients in the waiting room, and answering waiting room phones.
  • Maintaining clinical equipment in working order and organized.
  • Uploading confidential client paperwork using software.
  • Working with faculty in course and research support, including but not limited to materials organization, collection and interpretation of data, reference searches.
  • Management of materials/equipment checkout system.
  • Assisting in client, student, and supervisor data collection, and maintenance (i.e. with software).
  • Assist with editing of academic, scholastic, and clinical materials.
  • Help maintain technical systems (i.e. audio video, clinical systems).
  • Provide clerical support for the SLP Clinic and for research studies.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Must be in good academic standing and maintain a GPA of 2.0 or higher (undergraduate) or 3.0 or higher (graduate).
  • Must be enrolled as a degree seeking student with a minimum of 6 credits (undergraduate) or 5 credits (graduate) in the current or upcoming semester at Nevada State.
  • Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship (Nevada State does not sponsor employment‑related visas).
Work Hours

Student employees can work up to 19.5 hours per week.

$14.00 per hour.
