Job Description
The University of Nevada, Reno seeks an Undergraduate Research Coordinator to support and expand undergraduate research opportunities across the institution.
Reporting to the Director of Undergraduate Research, the coordinator will administer undergraduate research funding programs, coordinate application and award processes, support program assessment and continuous improvement, and manage day‑to‑day program operations.
Additional responsibilities include developing and delivering student‑focused workshops and professional development opportunities, coordinating campus‑wide events such as the Wolf Pack Discoveries Poster Symposium, and supporting outreach efforts to increase awareness and participation in undergraduate research programs.
Required Qualifications- Bachelor's Degree and two (2) years of related work experience or Master's Degree and one (1) year of related work experience.
- Related experience includes educational program development for students of diverse backgrounds, marketing or public relations experience, event coordination, or related experience.
- Experience coordinating academic, student success, research, fellowship, scholarship, or grant‑funded programs.
- Experience administering application, review, award, or funding processes.
- Experience developing and delivering workshops, presentations, or training programs.
- Experience working collaboratively with faculty, students, and administrative stakeholders in a higher education environment.
Variable hours (may include some evenings and weekends). Occasional in‑state travel.
CompensationGrade Administrative Faculty –

University of Nevada, Reno retirement plan: a 19.25% contribution matched by the University. Employees on an annual "A" or "B" contract who are employed at least 50% full‑time are eligible to participate in the NSHE retirement program unless they are members of PERS of Nevada.
