Job Openings:Nevada Sage Waldorf School is seeking an experienced Math Teacher to join our school community for the 2026‑2027 school year.
- Teach five periods per week of 6th and 7th grade mathematics.
- Instruct or co‑instruct for 2.25 hours a day, five days a week, during a 3‑week math block in the main lesson for 6th/7th grade.
- Familiarity with and interest in Waldorf Education.

Exploration in numbers is an integral part of each school day throughout the grades experience. A multitude of math activities enliven morning lessons, subject classes, field trips and after school programs. Math classes, as such, are carefully designed to support the overall student’s development, and it is important that the activities offered throughout the day are consistent. We provide a holistic approach to math education by promoting imagination, enlivened games and puzzle solving, and tangible experiences in math concepts to build and develop a child’s thinking, feeling, and willing capacities.
By building a strong foundation in arithmetic in the lower grades, upper grade students are able to explore a curriculum rich with experiential learning, creative problem solving and real‑world application.

- Provide a safe, nurturing, and joyful environment for young children.
- Support the established rhythm and routines of the classroom.
- Work collaboratively with faculty and staff to maintain a consistent and caring experience for children.
- Engage children in daily activities including free play, circle time, snack, outdoor play, and rest.
- Follow school policies and licensing requirements to ensure the safety and well‑being of all children.
- Must pass Department of Justice, Federal Bureau of Investigation, and Child Abuse & Neglect Central Registry background clearances.
- Must register with the Nevada Registry and remain current with Nevada licensing requirements for Childcare Centers.
- Must provide proof of a negative TB test.
- CPR and First Aid certification required.
- Preferred: experience working with young children in a classroom or childcare setting.
- Familiarity with or interest in Waldorf education.
- Strong communication skills, flexibility, and a collaborative spirit.

on‑call, part‑time Monday–Friday between 7:15 a.m. – 5:30 p.m., flexible based on school needs. - Compensation: $18.
