Job Overview

The University of Nevada, Reno (UNR) is recruiting a student worker for the College of Agriculture, Biotechnology and Natural Resources. The Nevada Agriculture Experiment Station seeks a ranch/farm hand at the Main Station Field Lab. The student will work full‑time during school breaks.

Responsibilities

Animal Husbandry
Veterinary care
Pasture rotations
Assist with research projects
Weed control
Fence building
General ranch maintenance

Qualifications

Must be a student of the University of Nevada, Reno and maintain a 2.0 GPA
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated leadership and strong work ethic
Valid driver’s license

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in the agricultural sector

Schedule and Compensation

20 hours per week. Compensation:
Grade Student Employee, Level 1 – $14.00 per hour.
