This position if for a fulltime Sr. Pastor responsible for the primary preaching, teaching, & administration of church business. This role is supported by a part-time Administrative Assistant as well as volunteer Elders, Deacons, and Treasurer.
Job Requirements- 1 Timothy3:1-7 Qualifications for Overseers (Pastors)
- Above reproach
- Husband of one wife (faithful)
- Sober-minded, self-controlled, respectable
- Hospitable
- Able to teach
- Not a drunkard
- Not violent but gentle, not quarrelsome
- Not a lover of money
- Manages his own household well, with children under control
- Not a recent convert
- Well thought of by outsiders
- Masters of Divinity
- 5 Yrs preaching/teaching and demonstrably good at it with multiple examples
- A strict adherence biblically based teaching
- A passion for evangelism and discipleship
- Doctrinal alignment with the CBC constitution and statement of faith
