The Department of Criminal Justice at the University of Nevada, Reno invites applications for a Lecturer or Teaching Assistant Professor to begin July 1, 2027. This is a teaching‑focused position with a 4-4 teaching load, with service and professional development responsibilities and no research obligations. We seek a candidate with broad teaching interests to contribute primarily to our on-ground and online undergraduate programs.
The successful candidate must demonstrate the potential for excellence in teaching and service.
M.A. in Criminal Justice, Criminology, or a related field. Candidates possessing a J.D. will also be considered.
Preferred QualificationsM.A. or Ph.D. in Criminal Justice, Criminology, or a related field. Evidence of prior teaching experience and the ability to teach Criminal Law, Criminal Justice Policy, and other core courses across the Criminal Justice curriculum.
