Job DescriptionThe Department of Psychology at the University of Nevada, Reno invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in our APA-accredited Clinical Psychology Graduate Program (https://(Use the "Apply for this Job" box below).). The program has been accredited since 1972 and is currently accredited through 2028. The position will begin in the fall semester of 2027. Area of research specialization is open. We are especially interested in candidates studying childhood/developmental psychopathology, pediatric/health psychology, translational neuroscience, and/or biological processes.
However, all candidates with a strong program of research in any area will be fully considered. The successful candidate will have a clinical science orientation and a commitment to training students in evidence-based treatment and assessment.
PhD in Clinical Psychology or Clinical Science by start date. Completion of an APA/CPA-accredited internship by start date; ability to supervise clinical doctoral students. Licensed or license-eligible in Nevada. Record of excellence in research. Potential for excellence in teaching and service.

Grants-in-Aid for Faculty Employees The University is proud to provide a reduced-rate tuition benefit to faculty and qualified dependents. Faculty can take up to six credits per semester at a reduced rate. Dependents of faculty have unlimited credits but, in order to be eligible, children must be unmarried and under the age of 24 and must receive at least 50% of their financial support from the employee and/or employee’s spouse or domestic partner.

Department InformationThe Clinical Psychology Graduate Program at the University of Nevada, Reno, is a part of the Department of Psychology in the College of Science. The program currently has five full-time faculty. Members of the faculty are able to conduct research at UNR in collaboration with the UNR School of Medicine and community partners such as Renown Regional Medical Center, VA Sierra Nevada Health Care System, and Northern Nevada HOPES.
