Job Description The Sociology and Cultural Analysis department is looking for a student departmental ambassador to support student recruitment! The ambassador will help the department with recruitment tabling events and general office duties assigned.
- Assist and set up tabling up to four times per month
- Work with leadership to brand the department and make it legible to students
- Assist with departmental events
- Coordinate and assist with student sticker contests
- Assist with general office support and duties associated
- Candidate must be enrolled at the University of Nevada, Reno
- Candidate must be in good academic standing and enrolled in at least 15 credits each semester
- Candidate must have the ability to lift up to 50 pounds (occasionally)
- Candidate has the ability to speak and engage with students, staff, and community members at events
- Candidate has the ability to interact and communicate effectively in a team environment with students, faculty, and staff
- Candidate has a working knowledge and skills in Microsoft Office, Canva, or other digital design programs
- Candidate is proficient in digital and creative outreach programs
- Candidate is work study qualified/eligible
Schedule 10 hours/weekly Monday-Friday, schedule will vary depending on student's class schedule.
CompensationGrade Student Employee Level 1 Exempt No Full-Time Equivalent 25.0%

- A background check will be conducted on the candidate(s) selected for hire.
