Expert Level Travel Network Engineer
Location(s):
Travel to NV, CA, UT (75% of the role is traveling to different sites).
The Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Expert‑Level Network Engineer with deep hands‑on expertise in network design, architecture, and Palo Alto firewall implementations/configurations. This position involves substantial travel across multiple states and supports a wide range of business units within a dynamic enterprise environment.
You will lead on‑site infrastructure deployments, configure and troubleshoot complex network systems, and support server and security platforms across various U.S. locations. This role is ideal for a self‑driven engineer who thrives in a hands‑on, field‑focused environment.
Top Skills- Palo Alto Firewall Experience (implementations & configurations)
- Data Center experience with Cisco
- Hands‑on experience deploying Cisco switches
- Strong understanding of rack/stack, cabling, IDFs, and server rooms
- Ability to design, deploy, and troubleshoot complex network environments
- Design, architect, and support enterprise network environments
- Configure routers, switches, and network systems
- Deploy and maintain Cisco and Palo Alto hardware
- Rack & stack switches, servers, and structured cabling
- Troubleshoot connectivity issues, cabling faults, switch/router access issues
- Support Wi‑Fi systems and network connectivity (Cisco, Aruba, Meraki)

This is a Contract position based out of Reno, NV.
Pay And BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $75.00 - $85.00/hr.
