Under the general direction of the Test Engineering Manager, the Test Technician designs, develops, implements, and maintains tests for network interface cards and subcomponents in intelligent power distribution systems. The role is entry‑level and provides primary production support to resolve testing issues, develop new tests for new products, and refine existing ones to reduce error rates. The Test Technician performs tasks quickly, efficiently, and in accordance with company policies, procedures, and goals while promoting a positive, professional, and confidential work environment.
WhatWill You Do?
- Support test‑related production issues.
- Work with Electrical Engineers and Project Management to determine root cause of system‑level validation failures and propose solutions.
- Provide a test summary to the Engineering team of production test results along with necessary corrective actions.
- Generate comprehensive test and validation reports.
- Participate with Engineering in creating test programs to verify performance to specification of new assemblies, peripherals, and products.
- Build test equipment to support production needs.
- Review designs for complete specifications, testability, and test margin.
- Monitor and drive process improvement associated with the production test process.
- Support international manufacturing and travel as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
High school diploma or GED supplemented by college–level Electronics Technician coursework;
Associate’s Degree in Industrial Electronics or related field preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Required Skills / Knowledge / Abilities- Basic electrical understanding/knowledge.
- Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project).
- Self‑management skills including planning, organizing, and coordinating tasks.
- Effective oral and written communication skills across multiple company groups.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Ability to use electronic test equipment (oscilloscopes, electronic loads, meters, function generators, etc.).
- Experience in one or more scripting languages.
- Experience working on live high or low voltage circuits.
- Internet networking skills and protocol knowledge.
- Familiarity with ISO 9000 standards and audit process.
Work environment is fast‑paced with shifting priorities. Employees are expected to perform multiple tasks and may need to go beyond primary responsibilities. Duties frequently require standing, walking, sitting, handling, reaching, climbing stairs, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and speaking or hearing. Employees may occasionally lift and move objects up to 25 lb and rarely move up to 40 lb. Vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth vision as well as focus adjustment.
