Note
: A driving license is a must for this position, as there is 10% field travel when required.
- Provides comprehensive civil/structural engineering design services for substation and/or transmission facilities, and ensures that these facilities are constructed on schedule and within committed resource allocations.
- Provides civil engineering expertise to develop substation/civil plans for sitework, including grading, off‑site improvements, drainage facilities, fencing and block walls, and landscaping.
- Completes calculations and prepares designs for substation steel structures, foundations, and control enclosures.
- Provides civil engineering expertise to transmission line engineering design/analysis, route analysis and selection, calculations for line design (includes structure loading, foundation design and conductor sag), specifies materials and evaluates bid documents and technical submittals, and completes the construction package.
- Requires driving to field locations on occasion. Travel less than 10%.
- Proficient in AutoCAD & PLS CADD.
- Transmission or substation design experience (foundation).
- PE license is preferred.
