Geotechnical Engineer

• Conduct geotechnical field investigations including soil sampling and borehole drilling
• Perform laboratory testing on soil, aggregates, and related materials
• Analyze field and lab data to evaluate soil and groundwater conditions
• Assess subsurface conditions to support foundation and construction design
• Prepare clear, accurate geotechnical reports and technical documentation
• Operate and maintain testing equipment, including nuclear density gauges
• Ensure testing and reporting meet project specifications and regulatory standards
• Collaborate with engineers, construction teams, and clients to communicate findings
• Review reports for accuracy and provide corrections when necessary
• Mentor junior staff and support project teams

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field
• 5+ years of geotechnical or environmental field experience
• E.I.T. or P.E. license preferred
• Strong knowledge of soil classification, sampling, and laboratory testing
• Excellent technical writing and communication skills
• Ability to work outdoors and travel to project sites
